Our global community is beginning to see a lot of shifts: shifts in world power, in consciousness, in climate, in health, in technology, in just about everything! Right now, if you belong to a globalized, civilized society, change is just inevitable. Therefore, we MUST deal with it; of course, it is of most of our hopes that we deal with this change in the best way possible.

How do we do that, though?

A lot of the change happening could be a good thing for us; when it has to do with change we are content with, there is no problem. The change we must be concerned in dealing with, is the change that makes us feel uncomfortable. For me, it is with Artificial Intelligence and technological advancements (I can see how they are beneficial, but I don’t know, it just freaks me out).

I have two tricks:

You have the choice to either blossom into a new, higher evolved person by accepting change, or to shrivel up trying to avoid change.

You have the choice to either blossom into a new, higher evolved person by accepting change, or to shrivel up trying to avoid change.

The first, is to always remind yourself to evolve personally and move forward. A lot of my own resistance to change is because I have been comfortable without it (makes sense). If I can let go of the past, however, and focus on evolving into a new person, one is going to face and grow from all of these changes, then I will forever be growing bigger and bigger. If the change and uncomfortability scares me and I avoid it, though, I will feel as though I am shrinking and the world is crashing down around me.

The second, is to always search for the way in which you are growing. It is important to understand that any time we are uncomfortable, it means that we are growing. It is a buddhist belief (and a personal belief) that if you can justify your suffering, you are no longer suffering; suffering is only real when it doesn’t serve a purpose. So, if you can always uncover what it is you are learning, and in what way you are growing from each uncomfortable circumstance, it will suddenly become a lot less uncomfortable.

Be Alert.

Evolve.

Adapt.

Grow.

These are some of my random bits of thoughts to a world that is in the middle of a lot of drastic change and may need some personal reminders. When you feel comfortable with change, and you’ve grown and feel stronger, please help to lift up those around you!
